Quadra Island as seen from Tyee Spit, Campbell River, B.C. on Jan. 5, 2010

Sunlit tops of snow-capped mountains beyond the Quadra Island were glowing below the edge of dark clouds:

A - Mt. Menzies, 1239 m, on Vancouver Island north of Campbell River
B - This could be Estero Pk., 1670 m, on the mainland
C - Probably Mt. Hayes, 1643 m, on the mainland, and to the right of it East Redonda Island with Mt. Bunsen, 1250 m and Mt. Addenbrooke, 1567 m.
Closeups of region C are also in the first two pictures.
